Jesus Changes Everything.
Heart of the Matter Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry founded with a simple but powerful mission: to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, help them grow as disciples, and see lives restored through the transforming power of God.
At the heart of everything we do is Jesus.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the foundation for what we believe, teach, and live.
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, holy, loving, and sovereign.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and will come again.
We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. Every person has sinned and needs a Savior, and through repentance and faith in Jesus we receive forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.
We believe in the present-day work and power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowers us to live for Christ, gives spiritual gifts, produces godly character, and equips the Church to carry out the mission of Jesus.
We believe God still heals, restores, delivers, and transforms lives according to His will and through the power and authority of Jesus Christ.
We believe in prayer, both personally and corporately, and that God invites His people to seek Him, intercede for others, and believe Him for the impossible.
We believe every follower of Jesus is called to make disciples and share the Gospel. Ministry is not reserved for a select few—the Church has been commissioned to go into the world and make Jesus known.
We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ. Though churches and believers may come from different backgrounds and traditions, all who belong to Jesus are part of one Body and are called to walk together in love, truth, and purpose.
We believe every person has God-given value and purpose. No life is too broken, no story is beyond redemption, and no one is outside the reach of God's grace.

Heart Keepers
You’re invited to join Heart Keepers, a discipleship community created to help believers grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, become grounded in God’s Word, and learn how to guard their hearts while walking out their faith with purpose.
Based on Proverbs 4:23, Heart Keepers is about more than learning—it is about transformation. Together, we will pray, study Scripture, encourage one another, build spiritual discipline, and grow into the people God is calling us to be.

Our Heart
The heart of our ministry is reflected in Luke 4:1–19, where Jesus enters His public ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit and declares the purpose for which He was sent.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

We believe this passage reveals the heart of Jesus: good news for the broken, freedom for the bound, hope for the hurting, restoration for the wounded, and new life for those who will receive Him.
That is the heart we desire to carry wherever God sends us.

Through street evangelism, they bring the love and hope of Jesus directly into the community—meeting people where they are, listening to their stories, praying with them, and sharing the Gospel in a personal and compassionate way.
Scott and Donna also lead a home discipleship ministry, creating a welcoming environment where people can grow in their faith, study God’s Word, ask questions, build relationships, and learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Their desire is simple: to go where people are, love them well, lead them to Jesus, and help them grow as disciples.
The Heart Behind It All
